3 ingredient Bagnet - Recipe made easy

A well known dish from the Northern part of the Philippines, Bagnet, an Ilokano take of the crispy pork belly. Usually, this dish needs to be boiled, or steamed for hours with salt, pepper, and herbs but we came across another take to this classic Ilokano dish. You only need 3 ingredients to replicate the famous bagnet, it is quick and simple.

Here's how you do it!

Ingredients:

1 KG Pork Belly

1 Tbsp Salt (kosher or himalayan is preferred)

1 cup margarine melted

Instructions:

1. Sprinkle salt to pork belly and rub until fully incorporated.

2. In a bowl, place pork belly then add melted margarine.

3. Marinade fpr 15-30 mins.

4. In a pan, add marinated pork belly until golden brown.

5. Prepare a deep fry for the cooked pork belly get ready to double fry until crunchy.
